The Colonel Stephens Railway museum at Tenterden Town is free entry and tells the fascinating story of our founder, who built our railway as the first of 23 under the Light Railways Act of 1896.

Facilities have been carefully designed with disabled, elderly and less mobile visitors in mind. For pre-booked groups coach parking is available at Tenterden Town Station with complimentary refreshments for Coach Drivers!
For those wishing to extend their visit whilst at Tenterden Town the High Street is a short walk away and boasts an abundance of inde-pendent shops, pubs and eateries and a delightful children’s play-ground at the idyllic recreation ground. The Tenterden Town Museum is situated close to the station and has many fascinating exhibits.
