LNBP Community Boating
Experience life afloat on the canals of Central England with LNBP Community Boating
For over 40 years LNBP Community Boating has been welcoming groups of all ages and interests to enjoy and experience the beauty of the canals and inland waterways of Central England. And they invite you and your group to come aboard in 2024 to also experience the many delights that canal boating offers.
LNBP Community Boating is a registered charity run by volunteers who each year provide the opportunity for groups, clubs and associations to sample life aboard their two full-sized narrowboats on the Grand Union and Oxford Canals in and around the Northamptonshire and Warwickshire county borders.
They continue to welcome a wide variety of groups of all ages and varying interests from across the UK and overseas; groups such as senior and veteran clubs and associations including the Royal British Legion, church groups, parties from the Women's Institute (WI), U3A, Ramblers and other social and retirement groups to name but a few.
From their moorings at the beautiful historic village of Braunston - the Heart of the Waterways - you and your group can sit back and take in the peace, calm and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside and wildlife as you enjoy the experience of an altogether slower and quieter pace of life. LNBP have two boats available called Lancelot and Guinevere which can be booked individually catering for groups of 12 on each boat or together for groups of 24 across both, with the option of additional boats
available for larger groups. With a choice for their routes for either full day, half day or evening trips, LNBP's team of skippers will
manage and steer the boats and also provide you and your group with information about the history of the canals and the area's rich heritage at the heart of the UK waterways.
A trip with LNBP provides a wide range of activities for groups to enjoy and experience including steering a boat through open
countryside and tunnels, opportunities for photography, stopping off for countryside walks or pub lunches, or just simply sitting back to enjoy watching the world go.
With so much to enjoy and experience, why not combine a canal boat trip with LNBP as part of an overnight or short break to
the wider area. They can assist with suggestions for local
accommodation to explore many of the other local attractions nearby including the historic towns of Rugby, Northampton, Royal Leamington Spa, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon, as well as the cities of Coventry and Birmingham.
