The Gardens at Merriments

Tucked behind tall hedges, Merriments' 4-acre RHS Partner Garden is a hidden treasure for garden lovers.

Started over 25 years ago set amongst the rolling countryside of East Sussex, our beautiful colour-themed borders of inspiring planting evolve through the seasons, from Spring pastels to the fiery Autumns hues of our many trees.

With a relaxed, classic, contemporary style, you can enjoy both formal and wild plantings, all set on a gently sloping south facing site with good parking and easy access.

The Garden is open annually between March and October. Dogs are welcome on leads.

Many of the plants in our Garden are grown on-site in our Nursery and are available to buy in the Plant Centre.

We have a Shop selling garden essentials, gifts and cards, many sourced from local producers.

Our licensed, table-service Restaurant is known for its fresh, seasonal fare made with local ingredients serving breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea, 7 days a week.

We accept group bookings provided as these are arranged in advance.
